Todd & Marcia Gipstein,
performing as Merloc & Ybor, created a series of magic shows for National
Geographic. These were performed at various events in Los Angeles, Monterey,
Chicago, and Washington, D.C. Todd performs close-up magic whenever the
opportunity presents itself during world travels. Todd is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Both Todd and Marcia are members of the Society of American Magicians.
"The Art of Magic" is a celebration of the wonderful art that appeared on magic posters during the golden age of magic. It is full of wizards and sorcerors, imps and devils, floating ladies and dapper magicians, and all sorts of mischief and mayhem. 7.5 Minutes.
"WAITING FOR THE MAGICS" This 6-minute film is a nostalgic
look at a time, years ago, when magic stores and catalogs held a Svengali-like
fascination for young magicians. This show celebrates those catalogs, the
timeless excitement of ordering tricks, and the anticipation of receiving
them.
"TIME WILL TELL" In this 6-Minute film, a prop box
of the great magician Howard Thurston proves to be a trick over time. This
story explores the mysteries of free will and the power of magic across time.
