National Geographic Shows

A few of the more than 70 shows created by Todd Gipstein for National Geographic. The shows cover topics as diverse as photography, exploration, geography, the environment, history, travel, Geographic photographers and explorer profiles, and the Geographic itself.

WATCH "Story Behind the Stories"

"STORY BEHIND THE STORIES" This 6 minute show was created for the lobby of National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C. It weaves together the work of the Society’s photographers and explorers in the field with activities and programs at headquarters. It presents the diversity of things that National Geographic does every day.

WATCH "National Geographic Stories"

"NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC STORIES" This 11 minute show is a compilation of brief excerpts from some of the many multi-image shows Todd Gipstein created for National Geographic. These shows included portraits of photographers and explorers and examinations of the many areas of interest of the Society. These shows were used at a wide variety of events including press conferences, educational forums, public-relations events, advertising meetings, and lectures.

WATCH "I Witness"
"I WITNESS" For more than 30 years, Jim Stanfield has been one of the premiere photographers for National Geographic. In this 13 minute show, Jim reflects on the art of photography and shares some stories from his years travelling the world on assignment.
